  • Xiaoxia shared the current situation: Only 4 stations are sending data today. The number of stations sending to WMO FTP server decreased from 15 stations on Tuesday to 4/5 from Wednesday till no.

  • Amos mentioned that 3 weeks ago, Malawi meteorological office experienced the solar supply problems which disabled the backup power system. It impacted the monitoring system in Malawi. Stations' bills were not sent to Malawi correctly.

  • Enrico: for the Amazon server (Windows with loggernet), the free contract ends at the end of May. Secreatariat needs to justify whether or not to pay for the service.

  • Mauritz: will try to reach Zambia colleagues to check whether it is possible to send their data to WMO FTP server.

  • Amos: will provide a list of stations whose SIM cards will be replaced. At the same time, Secretarait will continue monitoring these stations status.

Action items

Amos: to replace the SIM cards of AWSs, and provide the list of these stations to the Secretariat.
Amos: to fix the AWSs bill's problems to ensure data transferred to the WMO FTP server
Mauritz: to contact Zambia colleagues about the possibility to send data to the WMO FTP server
Secretariat: to set up the next meeting (April 22) and monitor/update the data transmission
