Discussion

  • Enrico:

    • WIS 2.0 Introduction to Industry Workshop will be held on 22 June online.

    • SOFF is goint to be operational from this summer. Malawi project is one of them.

    • We are also setting up an epxeriment to deploy a small physical box. To understand how to deploy the box is the purpose. The important part is the data streaming. It is efficient doing more than producing BUFR, such as providing Graphics and maps. Next step to add the data control in the box.

    • To provide the standardization of how to get the data. Discussion on whether you want the same system or cloud system is ongoing.

    • GBON requirement for Malawi is around 20.

    • Report from ECMWF about the Malawi data quality will be available and the prerequisite is the continuous data stream from Malawi.

    • The more stations, the better during the experimental period.

  • Amos:

    • There are 6 SIM cards which have been installed.

    • There will be around 35 stations to be equipped with Campbell Loggernet. We target to finish the installation by end of June.

    • For the new stations with Campbell loggers, check their status first and then enable them to send data

  • Johan

    • The shippment will not only include the loggernet but also a certain amount of batteries.
