  • Meeting name: WMO Satcom Forum 2022

  • Date: 11th-13th October 2022

  • Format: Hybrid ( Physical + Zoom Webinar)

  • Location: Paris, France – held in the same venue as TECO (https://www.wmocimo.net/) and Meteorological Technology World Expo (https://www.meteorologicaltechnologyworldexpo.com)

  • Aims of meeting: Satcom Forum meetings are a place where scientists who use satellite communications to collect data from remote instruments (such as weather stations, drifting buoys or hydrological gauging stations) can meet both the satellite network operators and the manufacturers of instrumentation. It’s a chance to learn about new products and services, and for the networks and manufacturers to learn about the challenges that the scientific community are facing

  • Agenda: There will be sessions with presentations from scientists, from the satellite network operators, and from the instrument manufacturers.

  • Participants: The meeting is free to attend and open to all. Please register with https://www.meteorologicaltechnologyworldexpo.com to ensure that you get a pass for the exhibition and then email prior-jonesm@cardiff.ac.uk (wis@wmo.int) with your name and affiliation to be added to the meeting.
