Review the WIS 2.0 Guide

Timeline for WIS2 Guide and Transition Guide preparation

  • By end of this week: Editorial volunteers to submit . Then all contributions can be merged. Consistency (acronym, terms) is required in the documents.

    • Action: to merge the available pull request on GitHub

  • Between mid-December and end January need to be delivered to translators.

  • 8 January: last check of the contributors (Plan B needed)

Check the status of draft Guide to WIS

  • Kai (PR) received. Kai: GTS to WIS2 accepted the PR, can be merged.

  • 90% done from Rémy’s side (2.3.1 Procedure for registration of a Global Service)

  • Secretariat: 1.1 Introduction of WIS2

  • ICAO: in the progress of ICAO colleagues

Action:

2.2.1 Practices and procedures: wis2node registry needs to be included

NC/DCPC shall publish data as a WIS2 node

Stress test

(Enrico) Fit for Global Services, putting the stamps, which needs to be in Res. 2025 is entering operational phase. Official list needs to be submitted to INFCOM before entering operational phase. Assessment not included in the Res. Technical part + by end of 2024.

(Rémy) Verify, technical assessment (confirmation form PR), formal assessment needed at a later stage. No need to check the current Global Services performing well or not NOW.

For new Global Services, Expert Team on Implementation and Transition (a new ET) to manage its approval.

(Hassan) Recommendation of list of Global Services

Action 2: (Hassan) to send a reminder for the volunteers to finish the WIS2 Guide and Transition Guide review/editorial (submission: by end of this Friday)

Action 3: (Rémy) to share the image in MERMAID with the Secretariat.

WIS2 registry

Coordination should be carried out by Secretariat.
