Introduce Hassan and Abubakr from Secretariat to the team.

• Hassan is a WIS2.0 manager and will work on the project.

• Abubakr is a techincal coordinator for Infrastructure Department.

• antennas status in Malawi

  • Will be arriving today in Malawi (Rodrick)

• plan to install the antennas

  • when: probably two weeks later

  • replace the battery at the stations shortly

• Situation of Malawi Stations

  • 18 stations out of 44 are back online

  • Mauritz will set up the rest of stations

• The meeting to discuss the antennas installation

  • Amos: preparation is undergoing. From next Monday, we will discuss the plan.

  • The team agrees that meeting to update the progress to be scheduled on 12 Oct (10am )

  • A process to produce the bufr data

  • two different options provided: cloud & same system locally

• meeting with Rodrick and Amos to discuss Internet issue

  • Hassan has experience in Morocco, cheaper price with guaranteed service

  • Enrico to set up another meeting to discuss it

• Internet connection situation (service level)

  • Rodrick: to provide information about it, including service purchased from provider

  • Hassan: suggests to contact Internet provider to provide, including the proposal of solutions, type of current contract

  • Enrico: Any dedicated line at Malawi?

  • Amos: good guaranteed service will come at a high price

  • Enrico: Internet in Malawi is very expensive and experience in other countries can be a guide for Malawi solutions

  • Enrico: asks Rodrick to provide the information from the current provider on the current contract
