• Progress

  • To connect ECMWF and DWD to the WIS2.0 channel.

  • To test the data from the WIS2.0 channel before processing.

  • To involve other NWP centers (currently, only two) in near future

  • To get the BUFR data from Campbell (slow in progress)

  • Status of the stations webpage is created

  • Letter of agreement is ongoing

• is status updated consistently?

  • every 10 days (Enrico)

• is it possible to organize the training within the Region, such as station maintenance

  • (Enrico) technology (data format, tranmission) share from WMO side, together with WIGOS colleagues

  • (Enrico) to prepare a list of interventions needed for maintenance actions for the training

• simple manual with step by step instructions would be helpful

  • Secretariat is considering it, how to organise the training online (Enrico)

• any possibility to put data on GTS (archiving data, not able to put it on the GTS), Stations Identifiers

  • spot some problems, to solve it one by one

  • the conversion to BUFR takes a long time

  • transmission to RTH is also a problem

  • RTH, GISC, support fully to make data available on GTS

  • Specific questions are welcomed

• Column for offline stations, any description?

  • Enrico: weak signal, or issues with SIM cards, two main issues on the stations

  • Rodrick: offline stations, disconnection, for weak signal, to boost the signal later on

  • (Enrico) GTS is still working and we are building something new
